When you have decided to get a made to measure Frame – you should first decide what your intended usage will be.
The Dimensions on a frame generally are:
- Top Tube & Seat tube lengths,
- Seat angle,
- Head angle / fork rake,
- Bottom bracket height / stand over height,
It is important to understand that by altering one dimension on a frame, several others will be affected and it is sometimes necessary to balance all the variables into workable Frame dimensions .
So, your first consideration should be – what are you going to use the bike for?
Even for the same rider – His / Her Road Race Bike , Time Trial Bike , Commuter Bike and Training Bike could all have vastly different Frame Angles and measurements.
Only then should you sit down and discuss Tubing Options, Colour Scheme , Groupset etc.
